Amplitude has introduced new features as part of its "Amplitude Made Easy" initiative to streamline digital analytics. These features will provide quick insights and AI-powered responses, removing the need for manual data analysis and dashboard design.
"We’ve heard time and time again that setting up and using digital analytics is painful, especially for analytics newbies. Some of the features we offered at Amplitude were too complicated for new customers who were unfamiliar with our platform. And even if they figured it out, getting to the right insights required asking the right questions and tracking the right metrics. It was way too much heavy lifting for your average user," said Abbie Kouzmanoff, Senior Director of Product, Amplitude for CX Scoop.
Key offerings
Autocapture: Amplitude's Autocapture, which formerly required substantial engineering work, now allows data collecting to begin in minutes. The visual labeling function allows users to instantly recognize critical events, while the seamless connection with precision tracking speeds up onboarding.
Out-of-the-Box Insights: After connecting data, Amplitude provides real-time insights into critical metrics such as campaign performance, conversion rates, retention, and feature engagement. Common charts are pre-configured according to use case and industry, avoiding the need for manual dashboard construction.
Abbie said that this was the update she was most excited about: "I’m most excited about the out-of-the-box marketing and product analytics we’re introducing. I’m constantly asked in customer calls what the most important metrics and questions are for teams to track and how to build them. Now, knowing the most critical metrics and visualizing the answers takes just one click."
Ask Amplitude: With this tool, users can ask questions in plain language and receive real-time, AI-powered responses. It not only provides answers but also visualizes data, makes actionable recommendations, and incorporates context from previous encounters to improve accuracy and relevance.
Template Gallery: The solution provides templates created by industry professionals such as John Cutler and Elena Verna. These templates address popular use cases such as retention, product-led growth, and campaign success, saving teams significant time and work.
360 User Profiles: This feature combines data from several sources to provide a comprehensive perspective of each user. Teams can go into specific cohorts to acquire deeper insights and develop more effective targeting and engagement strategies.
When asked about what they have learned from the product development process, Abbie added: "This process was a good reminder of the importance of customer feedback. We did early testing and demos with our largest enterprise customers to ensure we were on the right track, and a few moments stood out. After one walkthrough with a large e-commerce customer with over 1,000 users on Amplitude, they immediately followed up asking, “when can we turn this on for our entire account?”
