Pindrop has announced the launch of Pindrop Pulse Inspect, an innovative tool that can detect AI-generated speech in any digital audio file with almost perfect accuracy.
This release builds on Pindrop Pulse, which was launched earlier this year, extending the technology to new use cases such as media organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and social media networks.
While Pulse is capable of identifying deepfake speech in real-time, Pulse Inspect analyzes and verifies whether media files contain synthetic speech so customers can proactively prevent the spread of misinformation and maintain their brand credibility. If they go unnoticed, these synthetic files are often shared on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other social and news media outlets.
"The critical need for robust deepfake detection mechanisms has come through loud and clear in my conversations with dozens of stakeholders across industries. Today, we are launching Pulse Inspect to extend our expertise in deepfake detection to organizations like media, nonprofits, governments and social media networks at a pivotal time in history. With Pulse Inspect, we're empowering organizations to safeguard the integrity of their content, and bring trust back to the modern digital age," said Pindrop Co-Founder and CEO, Vijay Balasubramaniyan.
To spot fraud, users can upload audio files into the Pindrop platform and quickly and accurately determine if they contain synthetic speech. The platform then provides immediate deepfake scores and visibility into specific parts of the file that are identified as containing synthetic or deepfake artifacts, so the user can pay closer attention to that segment when reviewing and conducting the analysis.
The Pindrop deepfake detection model is trained on 350+ deepfake generation tools, 20M+ unique utterances, and 40+ languages, covering over 90% of the internet's spoken languages. Continuous deepfake scores are provided every four seconds, allowing the identification of synthetic versus human content in mixed media.
Pindrop is going all in on helping companies fight deepfakes. The security solutions vendor recently raised $100 million in financing as it continues developing cutting-edge technology aimed at preventing fraud. Notably, the company's solutions identified the Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine used in the President Biden robocall attack urging New Hampshire voters not to vote during the Democratic primaries earlier this year.
