OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT Enterprise

OpenAI has unveiled ChatGPT Enterprise, a business-oriented version of its AI-driven chatbot application. While ChatGPT Enterprise retains the same capabilities as the standard ChatGPT, such as composing emails, generating essays, and assisting with code debugging, it also introduces advanced features that are specifically tailored for enterprises. These include heightened privacy and data analysis capabilities, improved performance, and increased options for customization.

Regarding features, ChatGPT Enterprise aligns with Bing Chat Enterprise, Microsoft's enterprise-focused chatbot service.

“Today marks another step towards an AI assistant for work that helps with any task, protects your company data and is customized for your organization. Businesses interested in ChatGPT Enterprise should get in contact with us. While we aren’t disclosing pricing, it’ll be dependent on each company’s usage and use cases,” OpenAI writes in a recent blog post.

ChatGPT Enterprise offers an administration console equipped with tools for overseeing ChatGPT use by employees within an organization. This includes features like single sign-on integration, domain verification, and a dashboard that provides usage metrics. Additionally, it enables employees to create and share conversation templates for internal workflows using ChatGPT. Moreover, companies can leverage credits on OpenAI's API platform to develop entirely customized solutions powered by ChatGPT.

Advanced data analysis

ChatGPT Enterprise also includes unrestricted access to Advanced Data Analysis, a feature previously called Code Interpreter in ChatGPT. This functionality allows ChatGPT to analyze data, generate charts, solve mathematical problems, and perform similar tasks, even with data from uploaded files.

For instance, when presented with a request such as "Provide insights about this data," ChatGPT's Advanced Data Analysis capability can scrutinize various data types, like financial, health, or location information, and produce meaningful insights.

Previously, Advanced Data Analysis was exclusively accessible to subscribers of ChatGPT Plus.

Prioritized access to GPT-4

Both ChatGPT Enterprise and ChatGPT Plus leverage OpenAI's flagship AI model, GPT-4. However, ChatGPT Enterprise users receive prioritized access to GPT-4, resulting in performance that is twice as fast as the standard GPT-4 model, along with an extended context window of approximately 32,000 tokens (equivalent to roughly 25,000 words).

The term "context window" refers to the text that the model considers before generating additional text. At the same time "tokens" represent the individual units of raw text (for instance, the word "fantastic" might be divided into tokens like "fan," "tas," and "tic").

Enhanced privacy

OpenAI is taking steps to reassure businesses that have restricted their employees from using the consumer version of ChatGPT. They emphasize that they will not use business data shared with ChatGPT Enterprise for training purposes or use any usage data. Additionally, OpenAI ensures that all interactions with ChatGPT Enterprise are encrypted during transmission and when stored.

In June, OpenAI announced that the iOS ChatGPT app now lets Plus users leverage Microsoft's Bing to find answers to their questions.
