Feedback software provider Alchemer has acquired the mobile feedback technology company Apptentive. This move will allow Alchemer to offer its customers more ways to collect feedback from mobile users while also giving Apptentive customers access to Alchemer's survey and workflow tools on platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.
Apptentive helps businesses gather and analyze customer feedback within mobile apps and has worked with many large brands such as eBay, CNN, JetBlue, Arby’s, and Safeway.
Meanwhile, Alchemer enables businesses to use customer and employee feedback to improve engagement, retention, and user experience.
“This acquisition creates an incredible opportunity for our customers to better reach their customers and employees where they are engaged – in mobile apps. This is the next step in Alchemer’s journey to democratize experience management and becomes the foundation for Alchemer’s digital engagement strategy. Alchemer is excited that the Apptentive team shares our vision to make every customer and employee voice matter,” said David Roberts, CEO of Alchemer.
Together, Alchemer and Apptentive will provide customers with a combined set of tools, with new solutions coming to the market soon. Apptentive allows businesses to communicate with customers and employees through mobile apps, while Alchemer's platform allows the same companies to provide more in-depth feedback. Using Alchemer's workflow and integration tools, businesses can use this feedback to improve the customer and employee experience.
“Alchemer provides the perfect platform to help us realize our vision for Apptentive – to give every customer a voice. Coming off a year when we broke records in feedback volume and released Version 6.0 of our mobile SDKs, I am excited to combine our best-in-class mobile capabilities and our talented team with the Alchemer team and offering,” said Robi Ganguly, CEO of Apptentive.
Alchemer has recently launched a Microsoft Teams integration to automate delivering customer and employee feedback on that collaboration platform.
