Salesforce has unveiled its new Zero Copy Partner Network, enhancing data integration across its Salesforce Data Cloud through secure, bidirectional zero copy integrations. This global network includes diverse technology and solution providers, ensuring seamless data usage and actions across the Salesforce Einstein 1 Platform. Salesforce is also rolling out support for open data lakes and lakehouses using the Apache Iceberg format, alongside expanding zero copy capabilities for Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners creating data kits for Data Cloud customers.
“In today's digital landscape, companies struggle with islands of data spread across various systems. With this global ecosystem of partners, companies can access all of their data, no matter where it resides, and unlock the power of all of that data within Salesforce — creating more personalized customer interactions and establishing a foundation for trusted AI, in less time and at lower cost,” said Brian Millham, President and Chief Operating Officer at Salesforce.
Zero Copy Integration aims to transform how businesses access and utilize data without the need for traditional and complex data pipelines. By maintaining data in its original location and avoiding duplication, this integration allows for real-time data access and updates within Salesforce, enabling actionable insights directly within workflows. Whether it's triggering automated notifications based on customer activities or updating data instantly across platforms, zero-copy integration ensures efficiency and accuracy.
Enabling effective decision-making
By keeping data intact and leveraging Salesforce's unified data model, teams gain a 360-degree view of customer interactions, aiding in informed decision-making and personalized customer experiences. This approach not only boosts the effectiveness of AI and BI tools but also enhances marketing and sales strategies by providing a unified customer view across all departments.
Deeper integration with Microsoft
In a significant expansion, Salesforce announced a deeper integration with Microsoft to leverage Microsoft Azure for zero-copy integrations, further enhancing data accessibility and utility for customers using both platforms.
Zero Copy Data Kits for ISVs
Salesforce is enabling ISVs to distribute their valuable datasets directly through Data Cloud via new Zero Copy Data Kits available on the Salesforce AppExchange. These kits allow seamless integration of third-party data into customer environments without the need for data replication, enhancing data richness and application value.
In addition, with the increasing adoption of an open data lake and lakehouse architectures, Salesforce now supports direct file access to data stored in Apache Iceberg formats. This advancement allows for low-latency data virtualization directly in the Data Cloud, providing more flexible and rapid data access options.
Empowering SI Partners
The Salesforce Zero Copy Partner Network not only simplifies data integration but also helps System Integrators (SI) like Accenture, Deloitte Digital, and others guide customers through efficient Data Cloud implementations. This support network ensures that organizations can leverage their existing data infrastructures to enhance client engagement and operational efficiency.
Salesforce's enhanced zero-copy capabilities are set to transform how businesses manage and integrate data, offering a more connected, efficient, and insightful customer and data management experience.
