Workday has unveiled new AI innovations to simplify the development of intelligent solutions on its platform. These include updates to Workday Extend, the company's developer platform, and the official launch of the Workday AI Marketplace, which provides customers with centralized access to top AI solutions from Workday and its partners.

Workday AI Gateway
Workday announced numerous new AI services through Workday AI Gateway, which enables developers to harness the power of Workday AI to create intelligent apps using Workday Extend. Enhancements to existing services, such as skills analysis and document intelligence, are accompanied by planned new services, including:
- Intelligent answers: This service uses generative AI to allow users to query existing documents or numerous files (for example, an employee handbook, expense policy, travel regulations, PTO, and sabbatical policies) using natural language.
- HCM Recommender: It applies machine learning to worker profiles and job requisition data to recommend similar workers based on user-defined parameters, assisting managers in making new connections and chances for their team's career advancement and development.
- Data Query: The solution simplifies data queries within Workday using generative AI to create queries through natural language input
General availability of Workday AI Marketplace
Workday has also announced the general release of Workday AI Marketplace, offering customers access to a curated selection of AI solutions from Workday and its partners.
With over 15 AI partner solutions currently available, the Workday AI Marketplace streamlines the use of AI to streamline business processes and enhance decision-making. Customers can choose from vetted AI solutions for various business challenges, including accounting, contract management, fraud detection, recruiting, and skills transformation, thereby saving time and resources.
When it comes to the Workday AI Gateway, it is included with Workday Extend Pro. The rest of the services are scheduled to be released to early adopter customers by the end of this and the beginning of next month.In other news, Workday unveiled a range of innovative generative AI features to enhance productivity, talent management, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
