Infobip has partnered with AuthVia, a text-to-pay and conversational commerce solutions company, to introduce secure payment and transaction capabilities directly into messaging channels.
By leveraging AuthVia's patented authentication technology, Infobip's network of enterprise customers and developers can now provide different ways for users to finalize purchases, sign documents, and complete various transactions directly within messaging apps such as text/SMS, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger.
“By combining Infobip's vast network and effective messaging tools with AuthVia's conversational commerce expertise, businesses now have a complete solution that works across various communication channels. Messaging is increasingly the preferred way for businesses and consumers to communicate. This partnership positions us at the forefront of an emerging trend that will transform commerce," said Ethan Gustav, Group President of North America, Infobip.
Through this collaboration, consumers can settle bills, make purchases, and perform other financial transactions by simply responding to a text message. This approach ensures a seamless and secure checkout experience, eliminating the need to navigate separate payment pages or use additional apps.
Catering to the messaging platforms surge
This partnership is particularly timely, given the surge in usage of messaging platforms during the pandemic. By streamlining payments, signatures, and other transactions directly within ongoing conversations, companies can leverage the popularity of messaging platforms for enhanced customer interactions.
"Our technology was purpose-built to enable commerce within messaging conversations in a secure and compliant manner. Partnering with Infobip allows us to bring those capabilities to a vast new set of merchants and their customers, setting a new standard for conversational commerce experiences, offering a user-friendly experience for everyone involved,” said Chris Brunner, Founder & CEO of AuthVia.
The collaboration initially focused on Infobip customers in North America, is poised for global expansion in the future. Early-adopting merchants are experiencing significant improvements, with notable increases in payment completion rates and faster transaction processing times achieved by facilitating transactions through messaging channels.
Leveraging Infobip's expansive global network, AuthVia gains the ability to extend its solutions to a wider audience, unlocking international growth prospects for both companies. This partnership establishes a foundation for ongoing advancements in conversational commerce, paving the way for continued innovation in the evolving landscape of digital transactions.
