Online training solutions vendor Skillsoft has announced a host of innovative features designed to streamline the process for learners to earn new certifications, while also leveraging generative AI for a highly personalized experience.

According to a Skillsoft report, over a third of executives value the skills gained from certifications at $20,000 or more per employee annually. Skillsoft's IT Skills & Salary Report also found that certification leads to improved work quality (62%), engagement (47%), and job performance (45%).
The company’s new Certification Paths simplify the process for learners to obtain certifications from top providers like AWS, Microsoft, and CompTIA, while HR teams and managers can track progress, manage expirations, and handle vouchers efficiently through the platform.
New capabilities available in Skillsoft’s learning platform include Smart Content Discovery, Personalized Coaching and Coding Assistant.
Smart Content Discovery is a new AI Assistant that offers tailored asset recommendations, instant support, and career guidance, while AI-Assisted Search clarifies queries and suggests related topics. Designed to complement and enhance the 1-on-1 human experience of Skillsoft Coaching, Skillsoft’s new AI Coaching Guide provides continuous support between human-led sessions, offering learners ongoing encouragement to help them stay on track with their learning objectives.
To make coding education more efficient and engaging, Skillsoft launched its AI Learning Assistant, which is available for Codecademy interactive courses. The chatbot acts as a personal study buddy and tutor for learners, providing tailored coding exercises, real-time support, and immediate feedback.
These new features build on Skillsoft’s recent advancements in AI-powered learning, including Skillsoft CAISY, its award-winning AI-powered coach, Interactive Skill Benchmarks, and a GenAI skilling program developed in collaboration with Microsoft.
