Teladoc Health Launches a New Virtual Health App

Virtual healthcare company Teladoc Health has launched an integrated healthcare digital app that enables individuals to easily access a wide range of health services, including primary care, mental health, and chronic condition management, all in one place.

The new offering aims to provide a more comprehensive and personalized healthcare experience to consumers and it will be available in both English and Spanish.

“Our goal is to provide options for those individuals who don’t have primary care or good chronic condition management or mental health support. This fully integrated experience not only helps individuals navigate between physical and mental health, but it also takes into consideration social determinants of health that play an integral part in their wellbeing,” said Dr. Vidya Raman-Tangella, Chief Medical Officer at Teladoc Health.

The new Teladoc Health app is available in Spanish, as over 40 million people in the United States are native Spanish speakers. Teladoc Health also hired more than 100 new Spanish-speaking providers in the previous year to meet the needs of this community.

According to data from late 2022, these efforts have already had a positive impact, as satisfaction ratings among Spanish-speaking users of Teladoc Health services are higher than those of non-Spanish speaking users.

“Consumers are tired of connecting the dots between different clinicians, both in-person and virtually. They require their experience to be as seamless as possible. We are proud to deliver on this expectation, uniquely meeting individual health needs with a tailored solution to care for the whole person and deliver better outcomes for all,” said Jason Gorevic, Chief Executive Officer of Teladoc Health.

According to a Teladoc Health study, 60% of consumers said they preferred virtual care because of frustrations around care coordination. The new digital application puts individual needs at the forefront. In addition, it offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including physical, mental, and socioeconomic support, and connects users to a 24/7 engagement platform that uses real-time data from clinicians and patients to help users and their doctors make informed healthcare decisions.

Along with the new app launch, Teladoc Health also revealed an updated logo called the "Connector," symbolizing the company's focus on facilitating connections between patients and the care they need to improve their health.

Starting this month, the app will be available for select clients and later this year for all customers.
