Microsoft stock soared to an all-time high of $358 per share after the company revealed new pricing for generative AI features for its productivity suite, Microsoft 365. This means that Microsoft 365 Copilot will cost an additional $30 per user per month for Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium customers.
Microsoft has not yet revealed the public release date of Microsoft 365 Copilot. Currently, the software is in private preview for 600 select customers, including General Motors and Goodyear.
It seems like Microsoft is determined to keep AI at the forefront of its strategy and shows no signs of relinquishing it anytime soon. Moreover, it appears to be capitalizing on AI features to maximize its revenue potential.
In addition to revealing the pricing details, Microsoft is introducing Bing Chat Enterprise, which essentially mirrors the consumer version of Bing Chat but incorporates enhanced commercial data protection measures. As of yesterday, Microsoft is initiating a preview of this service, and it comes as a complimentary inclusion in Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium.
Another tech behemoth Meta has recently chosen Microsoft as the first tech company to offer a commercial version of their open-source large language models, known as LLaMA (Large Language Model Meta AI). Prior to this, Meta had only licensed the technology for research purposes.
