Identity verification solutions provider CLEAR and United Airlines have announced a collaboration that allows United customers to register with CLEAR through the United mobile app. Enrolling this way saves travelers time and gives access to a host of CLEAR benefits such as smooth entry into United Club locations. The two companies are already working together on expanding the CLEAR Plus lanes to more airports and boosting CLEAR experiences.
"We're always looking for opportunities to add new features to United's award-winning app that make travel easier from booking to boarding and beyond. Our customers who use CLEAR are more satisfied with their airport experience, so we're pleased to make it easier for them to learn more about the benefits CLEAR offers and take advantage of this service," said Jill Doyle, Managing Director of Customer Strategy and Innovation at United.
The process of enrolling is simple and quick, helping travelers have an effortless experience in their airport journey, along with free experiences outside the airport.
"Our mission is to make experiences safer and easier. Building on our great relationship with United will enable our 13+ million members to use CLEAR in more places. We have built our identity platform to be interoperable with a wide range of systems and experiences and believe this is a scalable model to enhance our network of use cases," said Kasra Moshkani, Executive Vice President of Operations at CLEAR.
More about CLEAR
CLEAR's innovative identity technology powers faster, easier, and more secure experiences at airports, hotels, stadiums, and more. The company has more than 13 million members and hundreds of partners worldwide, and its mission is to secure frictionless experiences for all its users. Privacy is its main focus and members are in total control of their information.
Airports using CLEAR can quickly check travelers' identity and take the pressure off TSA. In order to prove their identity, travelers need to step up to the CLEAR pod and scan their boarding pass after which they'll need to scan their eyes or fingerprint.
Once verified, a CLEAR Ambassador will escort travelers for the physical screening.
