Jasper has introduced a cutting-edge background removal model that boasts industry-leading speed and exceptional handling of edge cases.
This model is already revolutionizing business operations for enterprise clients, as it has been chosen to power Figma's new background removal tool, which was unveiled at the annual Config conference as part of a fresh suite of AI-driven features.
"As an applied AI company built by and for marketers, we care deeply about pushing the boundaries of generative AI research to deliver powerful multimodal solutions to our customers. This is a great example of a global organization leveraging our proprietary models to power innovative image editing solutions at scale to improve outputs for their customers," said Timothy Young, Chief Executive Officer, Jasper.
This development comes on the heels of Jasper's recent launch of Flash Diffusion — a novel image distillation technique that enhances inference speed by 500%, lowers computing costs, and delivers superior image quality.
Jasper's sophisticated models are available via both the Jasper enterprise AI marketing platform and the Jasper Developer API.
"With Figma AI, designers can focus on more strategic work because time-consuming tasks like creating placeholder content or wiring up prototypes are now automated. This includes common tasks like background removal," said Yuhki Yamashita, Chief Product Officer at Figma.
In other news, Jasper has sealed a deal to acquire Clipdrop, an innovative AI platform for image creation and editing previously owned by Stability AI.
