Disco has announced the broad release of Cecilia Auto Review, a tool designed to enhance document review processes through generative AI. As part of the Cecilia AI suite, the solution delivers precise and consistent tagging for documents, allowing legal teams to quickly identify key materials relevant to legal issues at the onset of litigation or investigations.
“DISCO has been at the forefront of the industry’s generative AI revolution, and we’ve become known for building intuitive products that apply during all phases of high-stakes litigation. Overall, the response from early users has been tremendous, with many telling us how it dramatically accelerated review with highly accurate results. We worked closely with users at top law firms on real case data throughout the development of Cecilia Auto Review, and it enabled us to continually improve our products so that lawyers can effectively leverage them to find evidence and develop their cases faster,” said Devin Kani, VP of Product Management.
The initial phase of document review often demands significant time and resources, which can hinder the development of case strategies and reduce a team's effectiveness in client counsel. Traditional methods relying on human reviewers can be both costly and prone to inconsistencies. Cecilia Auto Review addresses these challenges by enabling faster, more consistent document reviews, with the added advantage of generating detailed explanations for each tagging decision.
The evolving Cecilia AI suite from DISCO provides law firms and corporations with advanced tools that enable legal professionals to improve outcomes for their clients. For instance, the new features in Cecilia Q&A allow lawyers to ask specific questions about any document to gain secure, targeted insights or work product. Cecilia Auto Review is one of five generative AI capabilities DISCO has introduced in the past 18 months and is the third to reach general availability.
