DoorDash Launches New Suite of Tools to Empower Merchants on Their Own Channels

DoorDash has unveiled a series of innovative products aimed at helping merchants manage and grow their businesses across their own platforms. As merchants' needs evolve in the digital age, the company’s new offerings provide tailored solutions to enhance sales and streamline operations.

At the core of these offerings is the DoorDash Commerce Platform, allowing merchants to operate both in-store and online through five customizable products:

  • Drive On-Demand: Enables delivery via merchants' own apps or websites.
  • Online Ordering: Provides commission-free digital sales through branded platforms.
  • Phone Ordering: An AI-powered call system with menu recommendations.
  • Tableside Order & Pay: Customers can scan a QR code for easy ordering.
  • Customer Support Solutions: A dedicated platform for handling delivery inquiries.

“Our mission has always been to develop products and services that empower local merchants to succeed. The restaurant industry has faced significant challenges in recent years, and it's more important than ever for merchants to find innovative ways to grow their sales and increase profitability. The DoorDash Commerce Platform is designed to meet this need by offering a comprehensive set of tools that allow merchants to create direct channels — whether through online, phone, or in-store ordering — and build lasting, direct relationships with their customers,” said Prabir Adarkar, President and Chief Operating Officer of DoorDash.

Additionally, the new Online Ordering Mobile Apps feature enables restaurants to create their own branded iOS or Android apps, fostering customer loyalty and enhancing the ordering experience on their own terms.

Complementing these tools, DoorDash has revamped its Business Manager App to allow merchants to manage operations on the go, offering features like sales tracking, marketing management, and personalized recommendations to help optimize daily tasks.
