Accenture and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to advance enterprise solutions in two critical areas: generative AI and cybersecurity.
The companies aim to help businesses navigate all stages of their generative AI programs. This includes providing specialist skills to find optimal use cases, piloting innovative projects, and implementing the engineering capabilities required to expand technology while maintaining enterprise security. With cybersecurity as a cornerstone, the alliance is also stepping up efforts to address new risks associated with generative AI, such as securing model data, mitigating cyberattacks, and offering effective remediation to lessen the impact of breaches and accelerate recovery.
“Accenture’s decade-long partnership with Google Cloud is helping our clients across industries accelerate and scale their use of generative AI as a catalyst for reinvention, to strengthen cybersecurity, and create long-term value faster. The strategic, industry, and technical expertise of our joint gen AI Center of Excellence is enabling clients to solve not only complex business challenges right now, but also create a strong foundation for future innovation, resilience and growth,” said Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO, Accenture.
Since the inception of the Generative AI Center of Excellence (CoE) in December 2023, 45% of cooperative customer projects have progressed from early AI concepts to full-scale production. The increased collaboration will help clients use AI to streamline important business activities, address complex challenges, and strengthen defenses against sophisticated cyber attacks.
GenAI implementation
Accenture and Google Cloud have successfully implemented generative AI solutions, managed services, and over 60 joint industry accelerators. These accelerators aid in the resolution of complicated challenges such as optimizing supply chains, improving retail experiences, and automating document processing to increase productivity.
“Accenture and Google Cloud have already helped multiple Fortune 500 companies move from experimentation with gen AI to production. Through our expanded partnership today, we are rapidly accelerating gen AI adoption by providing customers with the technical expertise, engineering resources, and AI-optimized tools they need to scale and succeed,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud.
Enhancing cybersecurity with AI
The collaboration has also increased its efforts to modernize security operations for enterprise clients. By combining Accenture's managed extended detection and response (MxDR) services with Google Security Operations, the businesses offer full AI-driven threat detection and response capabilities bolstered by Mandiant's frontline intelligence and Accenture's crisis management experience.
Accenture and Google Cloud are also investing extensively in client services to assist with all stages of generative AI projects, from quick prototyping and AI readiness assessment to modernizing apps and consumer experiences.
