Salesforce has signed a definitive deal to buy Tenyx, a company known for its AI-powered speech agents, which enable natural, engaging conversations to improve customer support.
After the acquisition is completed, Tenyx will augment Salesforce's current autonomous agent capabilities within its Agentforce support Agent platform by combining Tenyx's voice AI technologies, which are specifically intended for customer support scenarios. Salesforce intends to use Tenyx's specific knowledge to enhance its AI-driven solutions, resulting in more fluid and intuitive customer interactions.
Tenyx's co-founders, CEO Itamar Arel and CTO Adam Earle, together with their teams, will join Salesforce to help build future Agent capabilities after the transaction is completed. Integrating Tenyx's sophisticated speech AI capabilities with Salesforce Service Cloud will allow Salesforce to set new standards for customer experience.
This move demonstrates Salesforce's commitment to changing customer service with AI technology, which aligns with the company's objective of providing next-generation service solutions.
Other recent acquisitions by Salesforce include POS software vendor PredictSpring, and incentive compensation management (ICM) software provider Spiff.
