UiPath’s Autopilot Merges GenAI, Specialized AI and Automation

At the FORWARD VI event, UiPath introduced the latest AI capability - Autopilot - a feature that combines generative AI, specialized AI, and automation to enable users to quickly automate tasks using natural language, making work automation more accessible to everyone. Following its previous advancements in AI-powered automation and “Project Wingman,” the Autopilot is the next step in its automation revolution.

UiPath Autopilot can convert paper documents into automation-driven applications with just one click, helping enterprises achieve digital transformation. The AI enhancements in the UiPath Business Automation Platform unveil previously undiscovered automation and process improvement opportunities. Moreover, they ensure the streamlined creation of automated processes, all supported by robust enterprise-level capabilities.

“By taking a user’s words, screenshots, or PDFs from paper documents as an input, Autopilot for Apps can create a robust automation workflow or interfaces for automations. This enables ‘one-click digital transformation’ for organizations by taking automated action. UiPath can operationalize the transformative force of AI through automation, seamlessly integrating intelligence into everyday operations, automating all knowledge work, upleveling employees, and revolutionizing entire industries with AI at work. And importantly, the UiPath AI Trust Layer will allow customers to use these new AI capabilities with confidence knowing their data is secure,” said Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer at UiPath.

Offering advantages for everyone

These capabilities help professional and non-technical automation developers create automation, write code, and formulate expressions using natural language. In UiPath Apps, Generative AI-powered tools assist developers in crafting workflows, generating expressions, building automation, and even creating automation-driven applications from PDFs or images.

Autopilot for UiPath Assistant introduces an AI companion that collaborates with any user to tackle tasks. It includes Clipboard AI, a feature that simplifies copying and pasting complex data between applications, significantly reducing the time required for data-intensive and repetitive tasks.

Autopilot for Test Suite expedites all phases of the testing process by generating tests from requirements and providing actionable insights from test execution results.

Autopilot for Process Mining enables business analysts to filter, summarize, and create dashboards for their automation opportunities using natural language. Autopilot for Communications Mining also equips automation center of excellence teams with tools to identify automation possibilities through natural language queries.

Additional enhancements

At the FORWARD VI event, UiPath introduced the UiPath AI Trust Layer, a management framework designed to oversee data governance, user interactions with UiPath's advanced-gen AI features, and the usage of large language models. The AI Trust Layer aims to provide customers with the necessary confidence, transparency, and governance required to responsibly and effectively manage the utilization of Gen AI within UiPath.

Moreover, UiPath has expanded its UiPath Academy, an online training platform for automation professionals, by introducing specialized AI training curricula and certification opportunities. The company's aim with the UiPath Academy is to equip a diverse range of workers with the essential skills required for real-world automation and AI projects in the workplace, addressing the growing demand for these skills in the context of digital transformation.
