Weave has unveiled an AI-driven feature on its platform, which leverages artificial intelligence to transcribe voicemail messages for healthcare providers.
The company has made its Voicemail Transcription feature accessible to its extensive customer base of over 27,000 users. This new addition automatically converts patient voicemail messages into written text, ensuring a more efficient, visible, and private method for users to read these messages. They can now view voicemail transcriptions by simply clicking on the Voicemail tab in their Desktop Application or mobile app, streamlining the user experience by providing a quicker way to review messages, eliminating the need to listen to audio messages, which can be inconvenient in busy environments.
“AI has exploded in popularity over the past year, and we’re taking steps to ensure Weave is delivering state of the art offerings that empower our customers to enhance patient experiences and deliver top of the line care. AI will only continue to grow in popularity and daily use, which will have a transformative impact on the future of the healthcare industry. Weave customers that have already implemented AI into their practices claim they save an average of an hour a day with the technology,” said Branden Neish, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Weave.
According to Weave's recent customer and consumer report, patients are generally receptive to the use of AI in healthcare environments and believe it can improve healthcare and patient experiences. Notably, 65% of consumers are open to healthcare providers employing AI tools in their practices. The report also revealed a consensus between consumers and healthcare providers regarding their expectations of AI's impact on the healthcare industry. Approximately two-thirds of consumers (67%) and three-quarters of healthcare providers (75%) believe that AI is likely to become a widespread and essential tool in healthcare.
Another report highlighted the significance of a smooth and integrated digital experience in shaping the relationships between consumers and healthcare providers, showing that 68% of consumers recognize the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving healthcare.
Weave has been actively incorporating AI-driven enhancements into its platform for several months to enable healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care and enhance the patient experience. Some additions include Mobile to Pay and Response Assistant features.
