Gladia Secures $16M Series A to Launch Multilingual Real-Time Audio Transcription and Analytics Engine

AI transcription and audio intelligence firm Gladia has secured $16 million in Series A funding, accelerating its shift from a speech-to-text API to a comprehensive audio infrastructure provider.

The funding will fuel the development of Gladia's real-time multilingual audio transcription and analytics engine, which aims to enhance use cases such as contact center platforms, sales enablement, and AI meeting assistants. This innovation allows businesses to integrate real-time voice-first solutions across multiple languages with advanced AI capabilities.

Founded in 2022, Gladia has now raised $20.3 million, including prior seed investments from Sequoia Capital and GFC. "Gladia represents a bold, global tech team at the forefront of AI innovation," said Alexis du Peloux, Partner at XAnge.

Gladia's new product boasts industry-leading performance, offering transcription in over 100 languages with support for accents, generating insights like sentiment analysis and conversation summaries in under a second. The platform's low-latency engine integrates seamlessly into existing systems, enhancing the workflow of companies in sectors such as contact centers and sales.

"I founded Gladia for a very personal reason – I was frustrated that existing audio transcription services were not able to understand my French accent. Our international team and customers often switch between languages during meetings, but finding a transcription solution that can handle different languages and accents simultaneously was impossible," said Jean-Louis Quéguiner, CEO and Co-Founder of Gladia.

With over 600 customers, including Attention and Method Financial, Gladia’s technology is widely adopted, powering automated workflows that save time and improve efficiency. The company plans to use the new funds to advance its R&D efforts, bring additional AI models to market, and expand internationally. Currently, Gladia is piloting an agent-assist solution for the CCaaS market, aiming to continue transforming real-time audio intelligence.
