Amazon Web Services (AWS), Accenture, and AI innovator Anthropic are partnering to enable organizations, particularly those in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare, public services, banking, and insurance, to responsibly integrate and expand customized generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology within their operations. This initiative aims to accelerate innovation, enhance customer service, and boost workforce productivity, all while safeguarding data privacy and security.
“Generative AI is proving to have a positive impact on organizations around the globe to drive innovation, including businesses in highly regulated industries. Through bringing together the expertise of Accenture, the most advanced generative AI models from Anthropic and AWS as the world leading cloud provider, we are helping organizations responsibly and securely accelerate the development and deployment of generative AI applications while lowering cost and time to market,” Matt Garman, senior vice president of sales, marketing, and global services, AWS
Through this partnership, organizations gain access to Anthropic’s cutting-edge AI models via Amazon Bedrock, a comprehensive managed service offering a range of top-tier foundation models from leading AI providers and Amazon, all accessible through a single API. Clients also benefit from a suite of capabilities essential for building generative AI applications, with a strong emphasis on security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
Enabling full-scale deployment
Accenture's services and accelerators provide the means to tailor and optimize Anthropic’s Claude models to suit specific client requirements, including the introduction of Accenture’s novel generative AI switchboard. This will bolster Claude's adaptability for industry-specific applications, spanning areas such as knowledge management, forecasting, analysis, and regulatory document generation. These accelerators streamline the process, enabling clients to swiftly transition their generative AI use cases from conceptualization to full-scale deployment.
“Generative AI will drive new ways of working and we are continuing to uncover new value for our clients each day by deploying and further adapting the technology to our clients’ operations. Our collaboration with AWS and Anthropic brings everything together for clients to move faster from experimentation to value realization. We see the biggest potential for our model customization service in highly regulated industries, where AI models need to be tailored to adhere to specific compliance, accuracy and safety requirements,” said Karthik Narain, group chief executive—Technology at Accenture.
Teams from Accenture, Anthropic, and AWS collaborate closely to offer prompt and proficient platform engineering support, sharing best practices for deploying customized models on Amazon Bedrock or Amazon SageMaker—a fully managed service facilitating high-performance, cost-effective machine learning for any generative AI application. Additionally, over 1,400 Accenture engineers will undergo specialized training to become proficient in utilizing Anthropic’s models on AWS, ensuring seamless end-to-end support for clients throughout the deployment of generative AI applications.
Industry-specific AI solutions
Furthermore, the collaboration has led to the development of industry-specific AI solutions leveraging Anthropic's advanced foundation models running on AWS's cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. For example, Accenture's intelligent underwriting and claims solution for insurance companies harnesses Claude's capabilities, resulting in improved document accuracy, enhanced customer feedback, and accelerated processing times.
Building upon their longstanding partnership, Accenture and AWS are extending their collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency through the integration of generative AI capabilities into existing platforms, such as Accenture's AI Navigator and GenWizard platforms. By leveraging Claude and AWS technologies, Accenture is poised to deliver unprecedented levels of automation in application development, model customization, and business process optimization, offering clients transformative efficiencies.
"Senior leaders are looking to rapidly define their AI strategy and competitive advantage. Our efforts with AWS and Accenture provide the swiftest path for enterprises to responsibly deploy powerful generative AI systems. By combining Anthropic's focus on model performance and safety, AWS's approach to security and reliability, and Accenture's deep domain expertise with technical know-how, we aim to build tailored solutions that enable key use cases,” added Dario Amodei, CEO, Anthropic
