Dropbox has acquired Reclaim.ai, an AI-powered scheduling platform backed by renowned investors such as Calendly and Index Ventures.
The company has received over $9.5 million in funding from a variety of investors, including Calendly and Character.vc, Flying Fish, Gradient Ventures, Index Ventures, Operator Partners, and Yummy Ventures, as well as industry figures such as Grafana CEO Raj Dutt and ex-GitHub CTO Jason Warner.
“The Dropbox mission is to ‘design a more enlightened way of working’ — a goal we’ve shared since Reclaim began in 2019. By joining forces, we get to support that mission and help millions make time for what matters, as well as explore new ways AI can help improve the way we work,” said Reclaim.ai in a post.
Founded in 2019, Reclaim.ai focuses on using AI to help users improve their time management by determining the optimal times for meetings, work, personal habits, and breaks. The program, which smoothly connects with Google Calendar, includes booking links and automatic scheduling of the best times for all participants. It competes with popular scheduling software such as Calendly, Clockwise, and Doodle.
For the time being, the corporation has declared that its pricing structure will not be altered. While Reclaim.ai has only supported Google Calendar connection so far, the business hopes to extend support for Outlook in the near future.
Dropbox's acquisition of Reclaim.ai is part of a larger trend of productivity firms integrating calendar and scheduling tools into their offerings.
