Kore.ai Infuses Chatbot-Building Generative AI into its Platform

Kore.ai has announced the release of the Kore.ai Experience Optimization (XO) Platform Version 10.1, which features enhanced capabilities for building chatbots using generative AI.

The new version of the platform leverages generative AI and large language models (LLMs) to enable customers to create and deploy intelligent conversational experiences in less time than what would usually take them compared to conventional methods.

Companies often struggle with deploying intelligent virtual assistants (IVAs) due to complex processes that require a domain, user behavior, and business expertise, not to mention teams of developers that have to script and code dialogs that cover various use cases and maintain IVAs' conversational capabilities.

To help with this, Kore.ai implemented the Smart Co-pilot with the latest platform upgrade. The Smart Co-pilot enables developers to access the relevant use cases and critical functionalities by simply specifying the domain and the function of the IVA. Then, The Smart Co-pilot taps into generative AI to suggest use cases, generate full conversational flows and dialogs, and build test cases and training data.

The aim of the Smart Co-pilot is to reduce the overall efforts required for bot development by at least 70%, leading to faster time to market for these intelligent conversational experiences.

"Generative AI language models and conversational AI work at their highest potential when used together. LLMs are especially helpful in handling tasks that would otherwise require creating large datasets and training various blank slate models. Through the V10.1 release, we are bringing the power of generative language models to all stages of bot development, simplifying the process of building sophisticated virtual assistants," said Kore.ai CEO and Founder, Raj Koneru.

Conversation design made easy

Another exciting addition to Kore.ai's platform is the Conversation Designer, which automatically generates executable dialog tasks and offers prompts to collect user input, API call definitions, business logic, and transition flows. This frees developers to focus on reviewing, making edits, and honing or regenerating the conversation design.

What happens if IVAs need to handle more complex tasks? Worry not, because Kore.ai has added an AI-Assisted Dialog Node feature that helps bot developers create IVAs that utilize contextual information during user interactions and deliver personalized experiences.

"Smart Co-pilot and the AI-Assisted Dialog Node are innovative concepts that have been implemented to substantially enhance the entire bot development experience for complex use cases and provide a more robust training framework. By leveraging these features, developers can create more effective interactions between users and IVAs, resulting in better engagement and personalized experiences," said Prasanna Kumar Arikala, Chief Technology Officer, Kore.ai.

The previous version of the Kore.ai platform, launched earlier this year, included a key feature that allows large language models (LLMs), such as OpenAI's GPT-3 and other AI technologies, to support teams in designing, creating, and maintaining virtual assistants.
