UiPath has unveiled a suite of innovative features during its DevCon 2024 event aimed at allowing developers to create, test, and expedite the implementation of automation.
“With the UiPath developer community in excess of 2 million, and developers and learners across 43 countries, the innovations we provide this community are absolutely essential in the AI and automation era. To build modern automations, it is not only about driving the UI. Developers also need API integrations, data, and AI solutions. We are making it possible for developers to access all these constructs in one integrated platform,” said Daniel Dines, Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer, UiPath.
Speaking of automation, the company has also recently introduced Autopilot, a feature that combines generative AI, specialized AI, and automation to enable users to automate tasks using natural language, making work automation more accessible to everyone.
UiPath autopilot for test suite (Public Preview)
This feature incorporates advanced AI capabilities to enhance the efficiency of testers throughout the testing lifecycle. It includes AI-Powered Quality Checks, Test Design, Test Automation, and Test Insights, providing a comprehensive solution for seamless testing processes.
Automation Marketplace and Solution Accelerators
Developers can kickstart their automation journey by accessing a vast collection of building blocks and templates in the Automation Marketplace. Additionally, UiPath has invested in Solution Accelerators, pre-built automation frameworks that expedite implementation, incorporating industry best practices and expert-defined use cases.
Generative AI connectors
UiPath has expanded its array of Generative AI connectors, supporting automation projects by enabling easy integration of Gen AI capabilities. These connectors facilitate the infusion of AI into various use cases, such as content generation, image classification, translation, and more, with compatibility for leading LLM providers like OpenAI, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex, and others.
Improved developer capabilities for integration service
New enhancements, including the Connector Builder and Activity Designer, offer developers improved support for creating customized API integrations. The low-code UX allows for visual design of activities and enhanced event support, contributing to an efficient development experience.
New India data center
As of April 2024, UiPath Automation Cloud has expanded globally with the addition of a new data center in India. This expansion aims to cater to the increasing demand for cloud services, focusing on business continuity, compliance, and improved accessibility for public and private customers.

Elsewhere, UiPath has introduced a new Integration - Service Connector - that enables UiPath customers to leverage Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service offering access to cutting-edge foundation models (FMs) through an API.
