People analytics and workforce solutions provider Visier has unveiled its "Open for Builders" program to enhance the company's analytics platform with tools, community, and educational support aimed at empowering developers and product innovators. The program is designed to streamline the creation of tailored people analytics and embedded solutions that harness the robustness and security of a specialized analytics platform while also offering the adaptability and personalization typically found in custom projects.
"Historically, analytic software packages have either been an out-of-the box solution, or a blank slate platform that requires a complete build. But we think our users need both the time-to-value of a packaged application, with the flexibility and autonomy to customize their experience to answer the critical and unique questions their organizations are asking. We're giving them the best of both worlds with these capabilities," said Keith Bigelow, Chief Product Officer, Visier.
The "Open for Builders" initiative equips data and analytics teams with an array of data integration tools, analytics modeling, and pre-configured components. These resources accelerate development, reduce complexity, and offer scalable customization options, making it easier to manage projects and adapt swiftly to organizational changes.
"Market-leading data scientists are now able to address in-depth queries regarding the influence of workforce dynamics on their business effortlessly through our open platform," stated Bigelow.
This move enables Visier customers and partners to craft bespoke analytic solutions that integrate workforce data with other HR or business data, facilitating strategic insights into the influence of human capital on their enterprises. These enhancements help analytics teams respond more agilely and effectively to their rapidly evolving organizations.
A suite of resources
Visier's "Open for Builders" initiative introduces a suite of resources designed to support developers and technical users in enhancing their people analytics capabilities. These resources include a centralized developer portal, which offers extensive documentation, tutorials, and a GitHub code sample library.
Additionally, a web application framework allows for the creation of standalone applications on Visier’s platform, with deployment options for both private servers and the web. Developers can also access a secure sandbox environment for free trials, which includes full documentation and community support. Furthermore, Visier University provides complimentary courses to jumpstart analytic application development, and a new Developer Community provides a space for collaboration and networking with Visier experts.
"The opportunities are endless. Leaders want insights at the intersection of people and business data. We are just making it easier and faster to deliver those insights, and allowing customers to solve their unique challenges in powerful ways. For example, a Visier customer in the luxury retail space integrated people data with point of sale (POS) data to tell a more complete story about how specific people impact revenue in stores, which informs how they staff, train and manage people," said Paul Rubenstein, Chief Customer Officer, Visier.
