Vonage has unveiled a new collaboration with SAP SE to investigate generative AI and NextGen use cases. The collaboration will leverage Vonage's Application Programming Interface (API) platform and SAP Business AI.
“Together, we aim to make new capabilities available that can help developers create new applications for enterprises to reimagine their business, improve customer experiences, and create new communications and engagement capabilities,” said Seckin Arikan, Head of Business Unit API for Vonage.
Vonage will provide SAP with access to many APIs from its Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), including Quality-on-Demand (QoD), Device Location, and Number Verification. The QoD API is intended to provide excellent real-time experiences, such as extended reality apps, autonomous car assistance, and improved broadcast experiences, which are critical for enhancing user pleasure. SAP may also combine the Device Location API and the Number Verification API to deliver a safe login experience while lowering the risk of fraud.
“This collaboration opens a world of possibilities for developers and businesses, empowering them to innovate and succeed like never before. Our partnership is not just about cutting-edge generative AI innovation, but about redefining the future, with network API integration and transformation,” said Michael Ameling, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer of SAP.
When integrated with IoT capabilities, these APIs can provide network-based location data to improve asset tracking, traceability, and fleet management.
The companies aim to produce creative solutions that mix generative AI and immersive services on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) with Vonage's network APIs. This combination can boost QoD experiences for sustainability by utilizing sophisticated technological applications, enhanced data visualization, and augmented reality training. Immersive analytics can use network data to deliver more detailed insights and improve data-driven decision-making.
