Vonage has launched Vonage Meetings API, a no-code, embeddable video conferencing solution that enables businesses to customize the video conferencing experience to fit any website or platform.
"The key differentiator for Vonage Meetings API is the user experience," said Ron Maayan, SVP of Product for Vonage. Indeed, the solution adds "a visual engagement element" to external and internal workflows as it enables companies to tailor videos that improve the customer journey while streamlining internal collaboration.
"The no-code Meetings API is built from the point of view of a non-developer user or citizen developer, empowering them with the easy-to-implement technology to create sophisticated experiences for their users that are integrated and branded with a native look and feel," continues Maayan.
One of Meetings API's unique qualities is that it is not designed as a standalone app. While you may be thinking, "why would that be a good thing?" Vonage's intention with this solution was to deliver exceptional video engagement without the need for additional apps. Customers can continue enjoying their existing tech stack while Meetings API ensures video calls look and feel "native". All they need to do is implement a simple code; no developer expertise needed.
Customizability above all
Besides its quick and easy deployments, Meetings API provides simple room and user management and global dial-in. To further personalize the video experience, customers can also customize their logo and user interface through multiple themes and a full RGB color palette. In addition, customers can switch to their preferred language from a growing library of languages which includes English, Spanish, Italian, Catalan, French, and more.
Meetings API offers basic meeting engagement capabilities such as screen sharing, whiteboarding, active speaker detection, chat and reactions. When it comes to its functionality, the solution works within mobile and desktop browsers, which is made possible by Vonage's WebRTC.
Similarly to Zoom, Meetings API includes features like private meeting access, join before host, waiting room, background blurring, and more. Finally, Meetings API supports customers in healthcare, finance, government, and education sectors and is backed by a 99.99% uptime SLA and Global Sales, Support, and Services.
The company has recently announced new AI-powered features for its Video API platform to enable businesses to improve the quality of video interactions within their existing tech stack.
