Workato has unveiled Workato Agentic, a low-code/no-code platform designed to drive agentic orchestration across enterprises. Two components, Workato Genie and Genie Apps, are central to this platform.
Workato Genie is a robust framework that allows users to create and manage specialized AI Agents, known as Genies. These Genies are equipped to pull relevant data from knowledge bases, perform actions on various applications, and dynamically orchestrate complex processes. Genie Apps are pre-built agentic solutions on the Workato Genie platform, tailored to address specific business or industry needs.

Workato Genie offers a unified platform where businesses can build and manage purpose-specific AI agents capable of retrieving information, orchestrating end-to-end processes, and collaborating with both AI agents and humans. This dynamic orchestration enables enterprises to execute complex processes, boosting operational efficiency.
Users can interact with Genies through conversational interfaces like Slack and Microsoft Teams or trigger actions through events in applications such as Salesforce, Workday, and Jira. Workato Genie interprets the user's intent, enriches it with real-time context from knowledge bases and other applications, and then uses Generative AI to devise an execution plan. This plan can range from simple tasks to complex, end-to-end process orchestration, with Genies collaborating with other AI agents or humans as necessary.

Genie Apps are ready-to-use agentic applications built on the Workato Genie platform, offering seamless integration with over 1,000 applications and data sources. These customizable apps are designed to fit specific business processes and collaborate with other Genies to manage complex operations.
Currently available are ITGenie, a comprehensive IT Helpdesk solution that streamlines ticket deflection and application management to improve response times and employee experience, and SalesGenie, a versatile sales assistant that enhnaces productivity from lead generation to deal closure, adaptable to any sales process or methodology.
