Alida Appoints New CEO

Alida has named Efrem Ainsley as its new Chief Executive Officer, stepping into the role with immediate effect following the departure of Ross Wainwright.

Ainsley, who initially joined Alida as Chief Financial Officer in 2020 and subsequently ascended to the position of Chief Operating Officer, boasts over two decades of experience as a software executive. His previous leadership roles include being the CEO of ScribbleLive, a company acquired by Rock Content in 2019. Ainsley's track record also features stints as CFO and COO for Exinda and PlateSpin, as well as serving as Vice President of Finance at Open Text Corporation, a prominent Canadian software firm.

“I am honored to step into this position working with our very talented team to defend our leadership position as the best experience research provider on the market,” said Ainsley.

In 2024, Alida's primary focus will be on expanding initiatives aimed at enabling customers to enhance their product innovation and user experience processes by incorporating the perspectives of end users.

Ross Wainwright, who held the CEO position for four years, played a pivotal role in steering Alida through a transformative phase in the customer experience market. Under his leadership, the company achieved consistent year-over-year growth despite challenging market conditions.

Wainwright conveyed his appreciation to the outstanding team for their hard work over the years and expressed anticipation of facilitating a smooth transition as Efrem assumes the leadership.

“We thank Ross for his leadership during an exciting era for the company and have tremendous confidence in Efrem as he takes the reins at this important time in Alida’s history. The Board is excited about the 2024 strategic plan with an emphasis on innovation, vertical-focused growth, and the continued delivery of exceptional value for its customers.” said Phil Deck, Alida’s Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Last year, Alida strengthened its partnership with Discuss, a market research platform, to enhance Alida's qualitative research solutions for its clientele.
